Lauren Young, the sister of StarStruck Alumna Megan Young is set to sign a contract with GMA Network this September.
Her manager will be Pia Magalona, the mother of Elmo Magalona and co-managed by GMA Artist Center (GMAAC).
Many are asking if Lauren Young will be a threat to the famous tandem of Julie Anne San Jose and Elmo Magalona, JuliElmo, if ever the new Kapuso will be inside the GMA Network already.
GMAAC and Pia frankly said "Lauren Young will not be a threat to JuliElmo."
After Kapamilya young actress Lauren Young (Mula sa Puso) decided to become a Kapuso, a Kapamilya hunk is now slated to transfer, too!
Rafael Rosell has reportedly talked with the top honchos of GMA Network last Thursday, August 9, to become the newest Kapuso leading man!
Rafael’s contract with ABS-CBN has just expired and his last project with the network was the Piolo Pascual-Jericho Rosales starrer “Dahil sa Pag-ibig.”
According to reports, the 29-year-old actor will guest star first in the upcoming drama series “Aso ni San Roque” before he takes the plum role of becoming Marian Rivera‘s leading man in the Philippine adaptation of the top-rating Koreanovela “Temptation of Wife.” Rafael is scheduled to sign the contract with the Kapuso Network next week.
GMA Network updated it's Station ID (SID) entitled "Makulay Ang Buhay" and launched last Monday, August 6, 2012 after 24 Oras. Featuring in the Station ID are the brightest stars of the network like Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, Benjamin Alves, Jennylyn Mercado, Rhian Ramos, Richard Gutierrez, Sarah Lahbati, Tween Stars, Eat Bulaga Dabarkads, Regine Velasquez, Julie Anne San Jose, Elmo Magalona, GMA News Team and many more!
Here's the statement of the Network regarding it's SID Production:
"GMA Network,
Inc. (GMA) upgrades local television’s production values in its newest station
ID (SID) to premiere soon over GMA-7.
During the shoot,
multi-awarded film cinematographer and GMA VP for Post Production Edward
Achacoso said that the Network invested multimillions to acquire
state-of-the-art production and editing tools for the project.
“We had major add-ons
in this year’s budget for the procurement of best-of-class high definition
cameras and graphics machines. These tools are of the same standards as those
used in Hollywood movies such as Transformers and Avengers,” he said.
Achacoso also said
that this year’s SID has the biggest production pool, composed of 180 personnel.
“We hope to top the current GMA SID in terms of production and editing values,”
he said.
Achacoso’s team is
the same team behind the New York Festivals award-winning LupangHinirang ID,
which also airs in cinemas nationwide.
The SID featuring the
Kapuso theme song that first aired in 2002, will have an updated version to air
on GMA. — ELR, GMA News"
The new and updated SID were sung by Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez and Multimedia Princess Julie Anne San Jose. The duet was GREAT!
